Product Details:
Curtain walls by nature are walls of light; from outside and vista visibility from inside; the less structural interference the more of both are available. Therefore, skeletal structure and shadow lines are necessary but ideally kept at a minimum. As you will notice, OSLO has developed structural elements working with project engineers, and they have all proven stable and beautiful over years of standing.  Wood choices include Mahogany, quarter-sawn Oak, and for a greener option ask for our roasted wood.(CLICK “What’s New?” in OSLO homepage menu)
Technical Information:
OSLOs curtain walls, whether for residential or commercial, can be made in any combination of shapes and sizes within the limits of good engineering. Structural stiffeners are made for tall or wide runs. Pattern grade Honduran Mahogany or quarter sawn white Oak can be triple laminated for extra strength. Steel tubes, flat bar, or “T” iron can be hidden or left partially visible in multi-story structures..... Sliding door panels can be integrated into wall systems that open the entire lower eight feet of a curtain wall, even open away from corners leaving no corner post!

Curtain Walls
OSLO is especially sought after by designers with minimalist preferences. Instead of simply gluing flat stock together, leaving yards of interior flat extension jambs inside glass to cook in the sun and collect dust, OSLO's typical mullions are designed around the narrow yet highly stable Euro profile (visit Euro Profile product page).

This is an example of (fixed) “direct glazing” with small sight line Euro profiles.  Steel, aluminum, or wood stiffeners are used behind or hidden inside the mullion joints.

Material is determined by engineering Curtain Wall size.
