The Old English window offers an old world antique charm in appearance and function. At the same time it is engineered in some ways like a door which increases performance. The sashes are 2 1/4 inch thick and take a full one inch insulated glass while offering a narrower site line in sash width. The standard ball bearing butt hinges will hold in excess of 150 lb. Even the Q-lon weatherseal is more commonly found in quality door construction, plus OSLOs triple comb corner joint found in all their sash construction has 70 percent more gluing surface than the common mortice and tenon.
