Louvered Storm Shutters
OSLO-America offers custom made storm, shade, and security, shutter systems to compliment our high performance door and window product lines.
These louvered shutters have been especially designed for hazardous weather protection, tropical or desert conditions. Requests for a more rugged and functional hard wood louvered shutter design were requested from architects for their seaside home designs in the Turks and Caicos Islands and soon throughout the Caribbean.
Today the OSLO functional louvered system is the only shutter equipped with weather seals to resist wind blown water or sand blasting, In addition, they are tested to wind pressure of 300 psf.

Wood: Hard woods such as Honduran Mahogany, Spanish Cedar, and especially our “Roasted wood”. (follow the green labels from our home page)
Hardware:
Machined, heavy duty, stainless steel, worm gear driven by a crank or thumb-turn operators to open and close Jalousie weather-sealed louvers.
Finish Options Recommended:
Factory applied: Penofin Red Label natural wood oil - 99% UV protection
Sikkins Cetol stains and natural finish, a micro porous breathable medium ; or Industrial primer and opaque paint colors/Fine Paints of Europe
